Lower Merion Application Packets

2017-2018 Lower Merion School Age Programs: Enrollment Process and Deadlines

Families currently enrolled in LM Programs:

In order to secure a spot for the following school year, families must turn in appropriate forms by the given deadlines.

Phase 1

  • February 1 – Re-enrollment Form sent via email.
  • March 3 – Deadline for Re-enrollment Form to be submitted.
  • April 6 – MELC will begin confirming completion of Phase 1 and enrollment for next year pending Phase 2 requirement.

Phase 2

  • June 1 – Enrollment Review Form and Tuition Agreement available to be reviewed and signed by parent and site supervisor.
  • June 15 – Last Day for Enrollment Review Form and Tuition Agreement to be reviewed and signed by parent and site supervisor.

 

Families currently enrolled in Kindergarten Jr. and Narberth Center:

In order to secure a spot for the following school year, families must turn in appropriate forms by the given deadlines.

  • February 1 – Application sent home with children and sent via email.
  • March 3 – Application due back to MELC.
  • April 6 – MELC will begin notifying enrollment for next year or wait list due to capacity. 

*For families that are currently enrolled in a LM program, Kindergarten Jr. or Narberth Center that do not secure their slot by turning in their paperwork within the allotted period, they will need to complete an application as a New Family and will be accepted or placed on the waiting list (based on availability) in the order in which their completed application form including $25 application is received.

 

New Families not currently enrolled in an MELC program entering Kindergarten Enrichment:

  • February through March – Application packets available online at www.melc.org on February 1, 2017. Packets are also available at the LMSD Admin Buildings where parents register their children and Elementary Schools.
  • April 6 – MELC will begin to notifying enrollment for next year or wait list due to capacity. (Applications will be processed on a first received basis).

New Families not currently enrolled in an MELC program and entering 1st through 5th Grade:

  • February 1 – Application available on www.melc.org.
  • April 6 – MELC will begin notifying enrollment for next year or wait list due to capacity.

*Start Date: Any children enrolled by August 15th will be able to attend MELC programs on the first day of school. The start date for children enrolled after August 15th will be determined at the in-take meeting.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Kindergarten Enrichment, Before Care and After Care are three separate programs and families may be accepted into these programs or wait listed independently.
